Ivan’s career in FinTech spans customer-facing AI, internal platforms,
and the teams that take ambitious ideas into production. The work
brings together technical delivery and the realities of operating in a
regulated industry.

Deploying a chatbot that performs account actions on behalf of
clients, with compliance, affordability, and accuracy central to
how it operates.

Developing and maintaining a shared platform that brings
employees’ knowledge work into one resource, without tying the

Hiring and scaling AI teams into a self-sufficient R&D product
stream. These teams have repeatedly brought ambitious product
ideas into production faster and at lower cost than traditional
deployment plans.

Helping shape the local AI conversation
Ivan contributes to Cyprus’s AI community as a practitioner, community
co-lead, and a voice in the discussion about the country’s AI
direction. He brings experience from production systems into
conversations between the technology community and policymakers.
Connecting the people doing the work.
Through the TechIsland TechPro community, Ivan helps organise and
moderate events where practitioners share experience, question
assumptions, and discuss the practical challenges of AI adoption.
Contributing to national AI strategy.
He co-edited and submitted TechIsland’s response to the public
consultation on the National AI Strategy, helping bring the
technology community’s perspective into the policy process.

Technology with a reason to exist
Ivan’s interest in innovation extends beyond commercial delivery. He
cares about how technology affects people, communities, and the
economy, and about putting technical expertise to work on problems
that matter beyond a product roadmap.
Giving expertise back.
Ivan organised and led a hackathon focused on wildfire prevention
and response, bringing technical expertise to a challenge with
real consequences for communities and the environment.
Keeping people in the decisions.
For Ivan, responsible innovation means considering who benefits,
who carries the risks, and the social and economic consequences of
what gets built. Ethical and practical questions belong in the
work from the beginning.
